The San Francisco Chronicles, III

As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m going to let the pictures do most of the talking…but I have to say that San Francisco is incredible.  We loved it there!

Haight-Ashbury and Golden Gate Park

San Francisco Part 2 006
You wouldn’t believe me but Dr. Groomy is actually kind of a hippie.  Ok, maybe not a hippie but he loves the Grateful Dead, so a stop in the Haight-Ashbury district was a must.  I had a good time but found the whole neighborhood was just sort of…dirty.  Sorry, San Francisco!

The best FRIES ever!  Stopped for a snack at a brewery in the Haight that is housed in an old pharmacy.  Pretty fitting, given Dr. Groomy’s profession.

Muir Woods, aka the Redwood Forest.

You guys, the Redwoods are INCREDIBLE.  If you are ever out in San Francisco, PLEASE make the trip to see them and GET OUT OF THE PARK and onto the trails!  We did a 3 hour hike and it was fantastic.

OMG! You went to Miur woods. That’s where Tim works! :))

  6. We went to Muir woods too! It was amazing. We didn’t hike but the views on the drive were beautiful.

  7. I don’t know if I would have done the redwoods so that is good to know! I love the Golden Gate Bridge too… I think the red of it is just adorable in pictures. They have some cute shirts at Old Navy with the bridge on it.

  9. Loved these pictures. The trees were huge and how fun you were able to see the Golden Gate Bridge! Looked so nice! We’re stopping in San Diego the last part of our honeymoon coming home from Hawaii. Looking forward to it!
