City Chic Nuptials: Post-Ceremony

So, we were married!

Scherm0466L

We made our way back to the bridal room, where our witnesses and priest would sign our license.

There were smiles all around as Father Mike instructed Jeff & Ali on where to sign.

First Ali signed…

…while Dr. Groomy and I watched.

Then Jeff signed…

…while apparently only Father Mike paid attention.

Scherm0477LI love this photo.  See how my sister has her arm wrapped around Dr. Groomy?  This is so typical of the two of them.

And then it was official!  We were really husband and wife.  We took a quick photo with Father Mike:

And then hightailed it back into the sanctuary to take some boring posey-posey photos at the altar.

We stopped to show off our rings…

And then took a few more posey-poseys.*

(*Please note that I am sparing you most of these…we took a ton, with his family, my family, grandparents, etc!  I just didn’t want to do too much overload on the blog.)

We did take a moment to get a photo with each of our “personal attendants” (aka the two who took care of any issues all day and kept our sanity!):

And of course, our super cute little people:

And then we headed outside to get on the bus!  Of course, we stopped for a some more photos:

And a celebration shot from Dr. Groomy:

I flippin’ love this series of photos.  They’re so him, haha.

One more kiss in front of the church…

…and then it was time to get on the bus!

Up next, we take some fun outdoor shots…and then head to the reception!

****************************************
Missed something?
First I got a mani-pedi with my sister,
then I cried.
Next, we headed to church to rehearse.
After that, we had a fiesta-themed rehearsal dinner at a local restaurant.

In the morning, we went to the salon to get our hair done.
Meanwhile, the guys went to a chili contest and
got ready at the hotel.
Back in my hotel room, the girls got ready.
Then, I put on my dress and officially became a bride.

Next, we headed to church!
Everything was set and we found out what happened to the missing groomsman.
Then it was finally time to
head down the aisle.
The ceremony happened and we got married!

I love that black and white shot of you two in the doorway of the church. Great photo! And such fun recaps. Thanks for letting your readers have a peek at your big day.

  2. Very sweet. Love the pictures of you signing the marriage license!

  3. I’m with Jennifer — that shot of you two in the doorway is beautiful!

  4. The doorway one is gorgeous! You should frame it. I also love the first one with your red shoes peeking out under your dress.

  5. Another vote for you framing the doorway pic. It’s funny how things vary in different areas – we signed our marriage certificate after our rehearsal.

    P.S. – LOVE the schoolbus. 🙂
